THE ROSE BUD

The rose bud knew tomorrow she is going to bloom. Her excitement and beauty she is going to show. As she embraced her petals. She could feel slightly hear a vibration. A song that didn’t know meaning but she liked the soothing tone of it. As she embraced in her warmth bed. She heard roaring of giants noises. The light glow of inside of petals then slowly darkens. She felt sleepy and loosen up her thought. Yet her rosy joy she smiled from inside.

When she opened her eyes the bright azure sky shown above gave dazzling light. Fluffy light weight like her tender thought floats in above sometimes giving a shade. She looked around the strange world that she opened her eyes to. Strangely enough, she saw different kinds of her own species. ‘I am crimson lily, now the oldest from the bloomed one.’ As she heard from behind a croaky voice saying she turned to have a look. Few of her wings dried and wilted. Her smile was the first I saw and I responded the same.

“Welcome to the garden. This is small potted once and few who have died have said they come from terrace of some houses others came from islanders. I just had born here on this rusty corrugated roof. Let me tell you about you. You’re the queen of roses and first rose to bloom in this roof garden. I’ll name you Cathy! Yes a pretty name. So what do you say my queen.”

Lowering her head to lily she said. “What can I say Lilly? I suppose that is your name. Cathy is beautiful and I shall keep that name.” Lilly told the story of her life. Before her sisters past away she had great fun with them. They were talking in foreign languages, enjoying the riders on the bikes. Listening to Hindi romantic songs that played in the next door. This is how they learned the new language. Cathy smiles and listens to her talk as the sun was about to set. She also told about the beautiful sun. And the blue color fades giving a golden color. The knowledge that was received from her was enough for the day.

When the stars appeared in the sky and cool breeze made Lilly sleepy she said good night. After all for Cathy it was just very hard to sleep. Her excitement and new breath to the air seems evoke. The stars started to appear one after the other. She was so overwhelmed to know these new names they called in this world. Then she heard snoring. Yes, a heavy snoring she  couldn’t help herself. The curiosity grew that she wanted to know who does it. She knew she can’t move. She wanted to know more about this strange creature that live in here. Who loved her so much? Who take care of them gives water and caresses them everyday………….. (will continue)
